Group Members: Kelly Wallace, Hannah Kantner, and Annie Vitti.
Problem: How big do the pine cones grow until they fall off?
Hypothesis: If the pine cones grow from fall through spring, then they will fall off.
Materials: Tape measure, a Sharpie, pen or pencil and notepad
Procedure:
1. Find a clump of about 10 pine cones.
2. Mark the branch with the clump of pine cones with a Sharpie.
3. Measure the width and length of several pine cones in cm.
4. Be careful to not touch the pine cones.
5. Find the average of the pine cone's width.
6. Find the average of the pine cone's length.
7. Record the averages and the date.
8. Repeat these steps several times throughout the year.

I really like your experiment. I wouldn't have guessed that a pinecones weight affected when it fell but now I see that would make a lot of sense.
