    Problem: Does the temperature affect the growth of the tree branch?

    Hypothesis: If the temperature is warmer then the branch will grow more.

    Materials: A thermometer, a measuring tape, and the tree.

    Procedure:

    1. place the thermometer outside

    2. record the temperature

    3. measure the diameter of the tree branch

    4. record data

    5. repeat over time
