Hypothesis:If it rains then the tree will become taller.
Materials: Cm ruler, Graduated Cylinder, pen or pencil, notebook
Procedure:
1. Measure the tree height in Cm
2. Check the amount of water in Graduated Cylinder
3. Record the Height in Notebook
4. Record the Date in Notebook
5. Record the Amount of water in the Graduated Cylinder in notebook
| Date | Height in Cm | Amount of Precipitation in IN |
|---|---|---|
| 10-28-11 | 240 | 0 |
| 11-15-11 | 230 | 1/8 |
| 1-10-11 | 220 | 1/16 |

We are going to melt the snow and then measure it the same way as the water.

Anyone eles doing their experiment on this tree, do you also notice it is getting shorter every time. We measure numerious times to make sure we are measuring accurletly and it seems to be shorter by 10cm every time we go to check on it.
